What Arabs Read

With the average Arab reading just 6 minutes per year, there's a big push in school & colleges here to raise student awareness of reading as a value for lifelong learning and pleasure - It's a hard sell!

wow, not very much reading going on ... I'm starting on online reading group and the first book we are going to read is Swann's Way if anyone is interested. We plan on reading it slowly although more than six minutes a year ...

Wow - just six minutes? The photo is very nice, though.

6 minutes per year!

To think...their ancestors wrote such beautiful verses.

People here hardly read too.

Wow, that's amazing (6 minutes per year), it's hard to imagine going through a day without reading. Interesting to hear about.
