There’s an estimated 40 million date trees in the UAE and although we’re at the end of the harvesting season (July – November) it’s still possible to find the odd bunch like these growing on the streets of Abu Dhabi.
Beautiful image - so many dates. I adore fresh dates. We can get them here in the south of France but they are expensive. Well worth it tho. I can eat fresh dates like other people eat chocolates.
Just looked back over your images. Love your photography.
This image brings me back to my youth, throwing stones to the one and only date tree of the tiny garden of my Village, hoping to get some tâmaras, a strange fruit with a strange taste.

These are beautiful. I would not have known they were dates however. Welcome to CDP!

I'd like to add my welcome to CDP! Your photo reminds me that I'm hungry so I'll go into the kitchen to get some dates!!
Thanks for the welcome Virginia and Kate. Once I first saw CDP I couldn't wait to do my own
