Abul from Bangladesh is one of hundreds of thousands of migrant workers employed in the Abu Dhabi construction industry. Hours are long, working/living conditions harsh and pay poor – Despite all this, he still wears a smile!
Superb portrait. I wonder if all the construction will continue with the current financial crisis? I hope so cos if not, the lowest in the heirarch - ie Abul - will be the first to suffer.
It's tough being a migrant worker. However, in Abul, I can see positive outlook in him. Despite being in sweat, he could still pose for a photo with a cool look! :o)

fabulous portrait and poignant commentary.
at the cost of their sacrifice..true that they wear a smile...for the families left behind...we all know how they are treated in the host countries..
