Sheikh Zayed's Grand Mosque

 
Another view of Sheikh Zayed's Grand Mosque which took 10 years and $545 million to build. And yes, it's real gold you can see up there!

The modern mosques you've posted are so beautiful, and such a contrast against the bright blue sky! Reminds me of the giant Mormon temples we have here in the U.S. - they are also white, modern and have tall spires with gold at the top.

Thanks for dropping in. I've never seen a Mormon temple until I just googled it. Wow - Equally impressive. What are the insides like?

I don't know - you have to be Mormon to go inside and I'm not. But I'd imagine they're as beautiful on the inside.
