Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium
According to ESPN, the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi was opened in May 2004 and cost $22 million to build. It is arguably one of the world's finest cricket grounds. As you can see, the ground is dominated by two large stands at either end, with the areas square of the wicket offering large grass banking for spectators to sit, although during the daylight hours that might be less than appealing as there is no shade. There is no pavilion as such, with the large changing rooms under one of the stands, and teams watch from inside air-conditioned glass rooms.

Very impressive! We came to love cricket whilst living in New Delhi, and we wouldn't mind watching a game in Abu Dhabi! We'll bring beach umbrellas though.
Brilliant work. Wonderful wide angle shots with beautiful colors.
I'm trying to imagine us loud, boisterous, raucous Windies folks enjoying cricket there. Would we have to behave? Not dance and carry on? Haha.
Can you imagine the scenes here at a West Indies Vs England match! How do the Windies supporters compare to the ‘Barmy Army’?
fascinating disk like architecture. the green space is soooo wide. Great photos.
Wot a combination. Barmy Army PLUS Windies and calypso, tassa drums [sort of like bhangra], costumed men [high heels and wedding dresses].
I've heard that the best places to enjoy cricket...Trinidad and Guyana.
I t'ink de Windies supporters are a tad odda dan de Barmy Army.
