Corniche Rent-A-Bike
"Our bicycles are the fastest
that the world has ever seen;
they have supersonic engines
and a flame-retardant sheen.
Our bicycles will travel
a gazillion miles an hour --
they have rockets on the handlebars
for supplemental power.
The pedals both are jet-propelled
to help you pedal faster,
and the shifter is equipped
with an electric turbo-blaster.
The fender has a parachute
in case you need to brake.
Yes, our bikes are undeniably
the fastest ones they make.
Our bicycles are incredible!
You'll love the way they feel,
and you'll like them even more
when we remove the training wheels.

Love the three-wheelers. I bet they always win the races.
Me too, I like those three-wheelers.
I wonder who rents the bikes, I thought everyone drove or took a taxi or the bus.
The bikes are recreational use only, mostly after dark or on the weekend. The Corniche cyclepath is about 8km end to end.
the lighting is interesting - gives the scene a surreal feel
Another great post. It looks like a stage set or fake lighting. How did you manage the effect? In fact, when you blow it up, everything looks unreal, including the tree and the bikes. It's an unusual look.
Tapirgal - You have a talent of seeing things in photos that others don't (including me). Remember the washing line? http://abudhabidailyphotograph.blogspot.com/2009/08/drying-your-linen-in-public.html. This photo was taken at dusk, which my Nikon likes a lot.
Great shooting along the Corniche ... I must take my D80 for a workout one day soon :-)
Happy New Year, mate!
