Al Futaisi Island Lighthouse
Al Futaisi Island is a 50sq km island located of coast Abu Dhabi to the west side. This desert island is owned by Sheikh Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan (the Rainbow Sheikh) and open to the public. According to their website it has air-conditioned chalets, a restaurant, horse riding, beaches and a swimming pool.

I'd always thought that lighthouses were supertall, this one looks short.
There's the odd expat around doin the same thing but none quite as barmy as me.
Got a feeling the lighthouse is just for show, hence its size.
