Souk it up

Designed by Sir Norman Foster and located just off Khalifa Street, (where the original outdoor one was until it burnt down in 2004) the three-storey Souk at Central Market has an interesting geometric wood slat exterior. Let's see what it looks like on the inside (tomorrow).

Very cool wood decorative panels! I'm surprised that they used wood.

I'm also surprised they used wood given Abu Dhabi is one of the hottest places in the world and that the previous souk burnt down and that was made of concrete! I still like it though as too will all the tourists and expats it was built for.
