Magic Mountain

Now that's what I call a hairpin! According to Wikipedia, the Jebel Hafeet Mountain Road extends for 7.3 mi (11.7 km) up the mountain, rising 4,000 ft (1,219 m). With 21 corners and three lanes (two climbing and one descending), the immaculate road was called the greatest driving road in the world by Edmunds.com. The road scales the mountain and ends at a parking lot with only a hotel and a palace belonging to the country's rulers.

I wonder if young lads secretly go there and race their cars / bikes. I won't be surprised if they do :-D

There's a famous story of Ben Sulayem, 14 times the Middle East Rally champion, who sped up the winding seven-kilometre mountain road in a Nissan sports car in a record three minutes and 39 seconds.

Inspired by his feat, four boys — all of school age — raced their hired Range Rover in turn, but instead of entering the record books, they ended up in youth custody with their heads shaved and car impounded.
