I don't mean to offend the UAE people, but to me, it looks like a high-end, gilded Las Vegas hotel/casino. The Italian marble, furniture, color scheme, columns, these are all elements Steve Wynn uses in his casinos. Not a flattering comparison, but an honest reaction.
Absolutely stunning! I can't imagine such wealth. Are you aloud to take/post pictures of any UAE women? I would love to see a picture of an authentic belly dancer.
I agree the décor isn’t everyone's cup of tea, although you can’t help being impressed by it once you’ve visited. Knowing that it’s not fake gold really helps!
Taking photographs of Emirati women isn’t permissible. However, given that most belly dancers here are Russian, it shouldn’t be a problem. I’ll see what I can do!
Good grief, I just realized this is the hotel that you posted earlier, right? I thought it was a royal palace - no wonder it looks like a hotel, it IS a hotel. I don't know what I was thinking, how embarrassing!
Yes, the photo entitled "World's most expensive stay" posted Thursday, November 13, 2008 is the exact same place. But I read that Steve Wynn might be coming here to build a Ferrari hotel - Interesting.
Well, Steve Wynn isn't making much money in Las Vegas these days. I was just there last month and it was a ghost town compared to just a couple of years ago.
How is the economy there? We get all sorts of misinformation about countries from that part of the world.

Wow! That really is ornate.

It's not to my taste, but amazing none the less!
