The Lonely Lifeguard

Lonely is the lifeguard,
no one's upon the sea.
But, winter now is over,
Spring buds upon each tree

Soon spring break crowds
and summer 'hordes'
will float upon these waters
Lifeguards brave will man this stand
protecting sons and daughters..

For now it sees the pelicans and hears
the seagulls screech.
as it keeps it's stoic vigil
upon the evening beach.
