Wonderful character photo, very unusual head gear, not one I have seen before, but then I am not likely to see anyone from Oman. Also it is a different way she spins.
This style is only seen among the rural Bedu of Oman - very rare. Facial coverings are not normal Omani style at all. A cloth veil is worn in the area of Sur, but Oman's dress is very different from the rest of the Gulf because of the influence of Africa (Zanzibari) and Pakistan (Baluchi).
Thanks for writing in and sharing your valuable insight CH. Pleased to hear I captured a rare species! Funny they weren’t fazed at all by me taking photos of them?

Interesting garb!
It's great to see foreign handicrafts! Please show us what she weaves, too!
