The best deterrent for human thieves is a mean dog that patrols a tall fence. That's how they protect the dates, avocados, nuts, and other valuable tree crops around here! =)

FarmGirl, the wretches here would poison the mean dogs. Dreadful. Unless there's a way to stop the dogs from being greedy and eating from strangers.
